Work is in progress for pipeline laying works at Thiruvagoundanur in Salem, Tamil Nadu.
Besides, piped natural gas (PNG) would be supplied to 0.32 million households in Salem by 2031.
Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) is laying domestic PNG connections in Salem. It has laid 28 km main steel pipeline through national and state pipelines and 170 km medium-density polyethylene (MDPE) pipeline in the city. Besides, around 2,600 meters have been installed for households.
