The Union Government will lay foundation stone for the Srikakulam Angul Natural Gas Pipeline Project on November 12, 2022.

The project, being implemented by GAIL, involves construction of 745 km long pipeline having a capacity of 6.65 million metric standard cubic metre per day (mmscmd). It entails an investment of Rs 26.5 billion.

The pipeline will supply natural gas to the city gas distribution (CGD) network in Srikakulam and Vizianagaram districts of Andhra Pradesh, being a part of Natural Gas Grid (NGG)).
