In a notable development, the first compressed natural gas (CNG) station of Sultanpur district in Uttar Pradesh is expected to be set up at Dadupur. Currently, there are no CNG stations in the district due to which owners of CNG powered vehicles have to depend on neighbouring districts for CNG.

The Ayodhya administration has provided land near Dadupur on Lucknow-Sultanpur highway to Green Gas Limited, GAIL India and Indian Oil Corporation Limited to set up the CNG station. The administration has fixed the cost of land at Rs 7.2 million and has directed the companies to deposit the prescribed amount in the account of the revenue department.
