Government of Punjab (GoP) is planning to set up compressed biogas (CBG) plant at Baroti village of Hoshiarpur in the state of Punjab.
The plant will have the capacity to produce over 20 tonnes per day (tpd) CBG along with production of 91 million tonnes per day (mtpd) manure and is likely to be operational by December 2023. It entails an investment of Rs 1.4 billion.
It would be set up on 40 acres of land and will process 49,350 tonnes per annum (tpa) agricultural residue, industrial and municipal waste for production of CBG.
