Shayona Silicate Industries (SSI) has submitted a proposal to the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) for laying, building and operating a dedicated natural gas pipeline from ONGC Nawagam Field to Shayona Silicate Industries in Gujarat.
The 15 km pipeline would have a capacity of around 10,000 standard cubic meters per day (scmd).
Following which PNGRB has sought comments/views of the general public to ascertain whether, instead of a dedicated pipeline, if a Natural Gas pipeline is laid, built, operated or expanded. The comments are to be submitted to the Secretary, PNGRB within 15 days from the date of issue, i.e by March 25, 2026.
