Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) is planning to establish 500 compressed biogas (CBG) plants in Andhra Pradesh, with upcoming plants in Markapur, Giddalur, and Darsi in Prakasam district.
Besides, the Divakarapuram plant in Prakasam will have a capacity of 100 tonnes, with 5,000 acres designated for the project.
Earlier, in November 2024, RIL and Government of Andhra Pradesh had signed memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the same.
