Refex Green Power Limited (RGPL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Refex Renewables & Infrastructure Limited, has incorporated two new special-purpose vehicles (SPVs) as its subsidiaries, namely Refex CBG SPV (Coimbatore) Limited and Refex CBG SPV (Salem) Limited for the development of bio- compressed natural gas (CNG) plants at Salem and Coimbatore in the state of Tamil Nadu.
RGPL would hold 74 per cent share in each SPV, while the remaining 26 per cent would be held by the consortium partner Spectrum Renewable Energy Private Limited.
The Salem bio-CNG plant includes development of 200 tonnes per day (tpd) municipal solid waste-based bio-CNG plant at Salem on design, build, finance, operate and transfer (DBFOT) basis under public private partnership (PPP) mode for a period of 20 years at an estimated cost of Rs 650.7 million.
The Coimbatore bio-CNG plant includes development of 250 tpd municipal solid waste-based Bio-CNG plant at Coimbatore on DBFOT basis under PPP mode for a period of 20 years at an estimated cost of Rs 785.4 million.
