Reliance Bio Energy Limited has won contract for development of bio- compressed natural gas (CNG) plant in Astauli, Uttar Pradesh. Bids for the same were invited by the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) in June 2024.
The project involves development of bio-CNG/ compressed biogas (CBG) plant primarily based on organic fraction of solid waste to treat 300 tonnes per day (tpd) waste on design, finance, build, own and operate (DFBOO) basis. The work is likely to be completed in 12 months.
