Greater inclination towards the use of eco-friendly and economical fuels has led to increase in demand for CNG in India. As a result, various models for CNG stations have gained traction in the past few years, including liquid-to-compressed natural gas (LCNG) and bio-CNG stations. Additionally, the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has also launched a new model called Dealer Owned Dealer Operated (DODO) model, which aims to facilitate the expansion of CNG fueling infrastructure across the country.
In the 15th annual conference on City Gas Distribution in India organised by India Infrastructure Publishing, Shivnarayan Pareek, Discipline Head Piping, TATA Consulting Engineers Limited made a presentation on the New Models for CNG Stations Development which can be downloaded here.
