In a recent development, the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) has issued draft guidelines for biogas (Biomethane) injection in natural gas pipelines (NGPL) and city gas distribution (CGD) networks and their associated facilities.
The guidelines aim to ensure the safety and integrity of installations and facilities related to the injection of biogas (Biomethane) into natural gas networks including material selection, planning, design, installation, inspection, testing, commissioning, operation, and maintenance.
The comments/views are to be submitted to the Secretary, PNGRB within 15 days from the date of issue of the PCD, i.e., by November 12, 2025.
