Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) has approved the Indian Gas Exchange (IGX) platform to allocate unutilised Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) regasification capacity.
Proposal for the same was submitted by Indian Gas Exchange (IGX).
The platform will enable terminal operators and capacity holders to be able to offer unutilised LNG by voluntarily listing available regasification capacity, which will help expand LNG infrastructure and expand access to India’s natural gas market.
IGX is likely to facilitate capacity bookings through the platform. However, payment negotiations will go on between buyer and seller under their respective agreements
