GAIL (India) Limited has launched a project to supply piped natural gas (PNG) at Tata Steel Residential Complex in Kadma, Jamshedpur on July 5, 2022. Till financial year 2022-23, GAIL is committed to energise the 1,000 kitchen and to develop natural gas infrastructure for PNG to 5,000 households in Tata Steel Residential Colony areas.
The project would ensure continuous supply of cooking gas (no pilferage) while payment by respective customers will be on actual consumption basis. Besides, it is safe, convenient, eco-friendly and economical for the users.
GAIL (India) Limited is a leading natural gas company in India with diversified interests across the natural gas value chain and operates a network of around 14,381 km of natural gas pipelines spread across the length and breadth of the country. It has to develop end-routes city gas distribution projects at Varanasi, Patna, Jamshedpur, Ranchi, Bhubaneswar and Cuttack as part of Pradhan Mantri Urja Ganga Project.
