In a notable development, the Government of Delhi has inaugurated piped natural gas (PNG) connections at111 villages.
Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) aims to provide connectivity to all 357 villages of Delhi. Under Phase-I, it had provided PNG connections to 130 villages. Besides, it is planning to provide connections to the remaining 116 villages by December 2025.
Currently, IGL has laid over 13,000 km of gas pipeline and supplies PNG to over 72,000 families across Delhi.
IGL is an Indian natural gas distribution company that supplies natural gas as cooking and vehicular fuel. Established in 1998, the company operates primarily in Delhi-national capital region (NCR) and its neighbouring cities.
