Pune Municipal Corporation has granted approval to Maharashtra Natural Gas Limited for road excavation works for installation of an underground gas pipeline in Handewadi.
The excavation will be carried out along the stretch connecting Handewadi Chowk, Siddhi City Society Chowk, Savali Building Chowk, Majestic River Society, Pholani Tower and Naval Chowk.
Excavation of about 45 metres is approved. The work will involve digging a trench of about 0.80 metres wide.
The work is likely to be completed by June 30, 2026.
