Recently, supply of piped gas has commenced in Chhapra, Bihar. The distribution of compressed natural gas (CNG) has started and it is likely to reach the kitchens soon.
Out of the 36,067 houses in Chhapra, connections can be given to 21,640 houses. Meanwhile, 4,500 applications have been received and meter installation has been completed in 3,700 houses and supply of gas is likely to commence soon.
