Madurai Municipal Corporation (MMC) is likely to issue tender for development of Vellaikal bio-compressed natural gas (CNG) plant in Madurai, Tamil Nadu by end of September 2024.
The scope of work includes development of a bio-CNG plant on design, build, finance, operate and transfer (DBFOT) basis to treat 250 metric tonnes per day (tpd) of wet-waste entailing an investment of Rs 660 million.
