In a notable development, Megha City Gas Distribution Private Limited has signed its first gas sales agreement in Tiruvannamalai geographic area (GA) of Tamil Nadu. It has been signed with Rockman Industries for supply of 4,000 standard cubic meters per day (scmd) industrial piped natural gas (PNG).
Rockman Industries would utilise PNG as fuel in its manufacturing unit in the GA It is engaged in manufacturing Aluminium die castings, machined and painted automobile assemblies and supplying components to prominent automobile original equipment manufacturers across the country.
Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) has authorised Megha Gas to lay city gas distribution (CGD) infrastructure in 62 districts across 22 GAs in nine states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Odisha, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh.
