In a notable development, Megha City Gas Distribution Private Limited has commissioned its first liquefied compressed natural gas (LCNG) plant at the State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu Limited (SIPCOT) industrial area in Cheyyar town of Tiruvannamalai district of Tamil Nadu.
With this, Megha Gas has successfully commissioned five LCNG plants.
Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) has authorised Megha Gas to lay city gas distribution (CGD) infrastructure in 62 districts across 22 geographic areas (GAs) in nine states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Odisha, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh.
