The Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) is planning to establish compressed biogas (CBG) plant in the city under public-private partnership (PPP) mode.
Currently, MCG is exploring potential locations for the project and plans to issue an expression of interest inviting companies to propose designs for the CBG plant.
Besides, MCG will provide land and municipal solid waste for processing while the partner company will cover the investment costs and retain the rights to market or distribute the processed outputs.
The plant will have the capacity to process 150-200 tonnes per day (tpd) waste for production of CBG.
