Indian Oil Adani Gas Private Limited (IOAGPL) is planning to provide around 8,000 domestic piped natural gas (PNG) connections in Goa by 2029. Initially, it will provide connections in Mormugoa, Salcette and parts of Margao area.
Besides, it is also establishing four compressed natural gas (CNG) stations in the state.
IOAGPL, a joint venture company of Indian Oil Corporation Limited and Adani Gas Limited, was authorised by the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) in 2018 to lay city gas distribution (CGD) infrastructure in South Goa. Currently, it operates two CNG stations each in Salcette and Mormugao while two stations are under construction in Dharbandora and Canacona. Additionally, it has laid around 300 km medium density polyethylene (MDPE) pipeline and 50 km steel pipeline.
