India’s natural gas consumption declined by 2.7 per cent in October 2022, year on year basis but rose by on month on month basis from 169 million cubic meters per day in October 2022 in comparison to 156 million cubic meters per day in September 2022 registering a growth of 8.3 per cent.

The cumulative gas consumption during in April -October 2022 period was 5.1 per cent lower over the year while the cumulative liquefied natural gas (LNG) imports fell by 11.2 per cent over last year.
