In the newly allocated geographical areas (GAs), Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) has started sale of CNG at seven oil marketing companies’ (OMC) outlets and three Dealer Owned-Dealer Operated (DODO) stations in Rewari and sale of PNG to domestic households. Besides, IGL has been permitted to lay infrastructure in Gurugram. Initially, the permission has been given for the area between west side of Sohna Road and NH 8 in Gurugram district wherein IGL has commissioned six CNG stations. IGL was authorized for Karnal GA in the 8th round of bidding by PNGRB wherein it has commissioned six CNG stations. Further, IGL has been authorised for Meerut (except area already authorised), Muzaffarnagar and Shamli GAs in the 9th round of bidding in which IGL has commissioned eight CNG stations. IGL has also been authorised for Kaithal, Kanpur (except area already authorised), Fatehpur and Hamirpur and Ajmer, Pali and Rajsamand areas in the 10th round of bidding by PNGRB. IGL has commissioned two CNG stations each in Kaithal and Kanpur (Except area already authorised), Fatehpur and Hamirpur GA.
