Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) has reported a consolidated profit of Rs 3.75 billion for the fourth quarter of financial year 2020-21. This is 29 per cent higher than the Rs 2.91 billion consolidated profit reported by the company in the same period of financial year 2019-20. Meanwhile, consolidated total income during the period under review fell marginally to Rs 17.38 billion, down from Rs 17.42 billion in the fourth quarter of the previous financial year.

IGL witnessed significant decline in volumes during the Covid-19 restrictions for most of 2020-21, however, by the fourth quarter, compressed natural gas (CNG) volumes rose by seven per cent to 438 million standard cubic metres (mscm). Meanwhile, piped natural gas (PNG) volumes for domestic and industrial consumers were also higher.  For the full year 2020-21, CNG sales volumes fell by 22 per cent to 1,357 mscm, while domestic PNG volumes rose by 20 per cent to 169 mscm.
