Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) witnessed a 8 per cent year-on-year (YoY) fall in net profit in the fourth quarter of the financial year (FY) 2022-23. The net profit during the quarter stood at Rs 3.29 billion as against Rs 3.68 billion in the same period during FY 2021-22.

The revenue from operations posted a rise of 53 per cent on YoY basis from Rs 37.11 billion to Rs 36.87 billion for the same duration.

The compressed natural gas (CNG) sales increased from Rs 19.36 billion to Rs 30.21 billion while piped natural gas (PNG) sales increased from Rs 7.02 billion to Rs 10.21 billion during the same period under consideration.

IGL is the primary supplier of compressed natural gas and piped natural gas in the national capital territory of Delhi and national capital region. The company’s city gas distribution infrastructure consists of over 15,000 km of pipeline network.
