Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) is planning to establish around 80 to 90 compressed natural gas (CNG) stations by March 2025.

It has increased its piped natural gas (PNG) connections from 0.75 million to over 2.5 million in the past six years and is likely to provide 0.2 to 0.3 million PNG connections per annum.

Additionally, the company aims to achieve 5 per cent compressed biogas (CBG) blending by 2025, surpassing the 2030 deadline by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG).

Besides, it is also likely to establish liquefied natural gas (LNG) stations and intends to transform CNG into LNG by utilising excess capacity at CNG stations, particularly to serve regions located at a considerable distance from ports.

IGL is an Indian natural gas distribution company that supplies natural gas as cooking and vehicular fuel. Established in 1998, the company operates primarily in Delhi-NCR and its neighbouring cities.
