Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) has inaugurated the Amita compressed natural gas (CNG) station located at Chanchal Park, Baprola, Nangloi, Najafgarh Road, New Delhi. It will cater to the CNG customers from the nearby residential and industrial areas.
IGL is an Indian natural gas distribution company that supplies natural gas as cooking and vehicular fuel. Established in 1998, the company operates primarily in Delhi-NCR including neighboring cities like Noida, Ghaziabad, Rewari, Gurugram etc. As of October 2022, number of CNG stations being operated by IGL stands at 738 and number of CNG vehicles in Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Muzaffarnagar, Shamli, Meerut, Kanpur, Fatehpur, Hamirpur, Rewari, Gurugram, Karnal and Kaithal stands at around 1,511,081.
