In a notable development, HPOIL Gas Private Limited (HOGPL) has commenced the domestic supply of piped natural gas (PNG) in the Kurukshetra geographical area (GA). The company had commissioned the first city gas station in the Ambala/Kurukshetra GA on March 25, 2021.
HOGPL is a joint venture company of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited and Oil India Limited. It has received authorisation from the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board to lay, build and operate city gas distribution network in Ambala/Kurukshetra (Haryana) and Kolhapur (Maharashtra). HOGPL is currently in the process of supplying piped natural gas to domestic, commercial and Industrial consumers and CNG to automobiles.
