In a notable development, Gujarat Gas Limited has signed memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) for development of compressed natural gas (CNG) infrastructure at IOCL outlets.
The MoU envisages-
- Provision of liquid fuels by IOCL at Gujarat Gas outlets
- Establishment of CNG facility at IOCL company owned company operated (COCO) outlets
- Supply automotive lubricants, greases and specialties and liquid fuel by IOCL at Gujarat Gas outlets
- Establishment of CNG mother facility by Gujarat Gas at IOCL outlets.
Gujarat Gas is one of the country’s largest city gas distribution (CGD) companies operating in 44 districts in 6 states of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab and Madhya Pradesh and union territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli.
IOCL is state owned public sector undertaking (PSU) having presence in all streams of oil, gas, petrochemicals and alternative energy sources.
