Gruner Renewable Energy (GRE) is planning the country’s first Napier grass based bio- compressed natural gas (CNG) plant at Lasanpur village in Wardha district of Maharashtra. The plant is likely to be completed by November 2023.
Besides, GRE and Bioenergy Germany have signed partnership agreement to develop 100 bio-CNG plants based on multiple feedstock such as Napier grass. Under which, GRE has recently constructed bio-CNG plant for APSS Adarsh Bio Agro having capacity to process 50 tonnes per day (tpd) for production of 3 tpd gas.
