The Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) has introduced five new Bio CNG plants, two in Koyambedu, two in Sholinganallur and one in Manali. The plants are expected to be fully functional by 2023.
The plants entailed an investment of Rs 100 million each.
GCC also operates a 200 tonnes bio-CNG production plant at Chetpet.
