In a notable development, GAIL (India) Limited has signed an agreement with ADNOC Gas for purchase of about 0.5 million metric tonnes per annum (mmtpa) liquefied natural gas (LNG) for a period of 10 years, starting 2026.
In October 2022, GAIL and ADNOC had signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to explore opportunities including LNG supply to GAIL by ADNOC.
