The CGD segment has witnessed noteworthy activity over the past year, as a large number of GAs were awarded in Rounds 9 and 10. Industry response to both rounds was overwhelming. However, lack of balanced consumer mix, inadequate market potential, long-term disruptive risk from electric vehicles, and the high execution risks and payback period of CGD projects are some of the challenges that need to be addressed on an urgent basis.
