Earthshastra Ecotech Private Limited has emerged as the lowest bidder for development of bio- compressed natural gas (CNG) plant at Jamalpur in Ludhiana, Punjab. The firm has quoted an amount of Rs 1.32 billion.
Besides, Mahashakti Bio Enercon Private Limited and Adani Total Energies Biomass Limited have quoted Rs 600 million each. Bids for the same were invited by the Ludhiana Municipal Corporation in June 2024.
The project involves installation, operation and maintenance (O&M) of 200 tonnes per day (tpd) solid waste to bio-CNG plant under public private partnership (PPP) mode on design, build, finance, operate and transfer (DBFOT) basis. The work is likely to be completed in 18 months with O&M period of 20 years.
