The construction work of the Srikakulam-Angul natural gas pipeline is likely to be completed by December 2025.

Besides, work on the 422 km mainline has been mechanically completed and commissioning activities are in progress. Of the 322 km spurline, 252 km has been lowered.

The project, being implemented by GAIL, involves construction of a 422 km long mainline that will pass through Ichchapuram (Andhra Pradesh), Brahmpur (Odisha), Aska (Odisha) and Nayagarh (Odisha) and spurline of length 322 km. The proposed capacity of the pipeline is 5 million metric standard cubic metre per day (mmscmd) from Srikakulam to Brahmpur and 4.5 mmscmd from Brahmpur to Angul. It will be connected to Andhra Pradesh Gas Distribution Corporation (APGDC)’s Kakinada-Srikakulam pipeline at Srikakulam and with GAIL’s Jagdishpur-Haldia-Bokaro-Dhamra gas pipeline at Angul.
