Centre to introduce incentives to accelerate CGD- CBG integration

Reportedly, the union government is likely to introduce fiscal incentives to accelerate the integration of city gas distribution (CGD) entities with compressed biogas (CBG) plants. It aims to enhance the country’s domestic gas supply.

The incentives would promote cooperative efforts between CGD networks and CBG producers, thus facilitating the smooth integration of CBG into the national gas grid.
