The Union Government allocated funds worth Rs 159.3 billion to the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG) under the Union Budget 2024-25 on July 23, 2024.
Of the total allocation, funds worth Rs 622.4 million have been earmarked under “Establishment Expenditure of the Centre”, Rs 6.28 billion under “Strategic Oil Reserves”, Rs 1.17 billion under ”Refinery and Conservation”, Rs 119.25 billion under “LPG Subsidy”, Rs 10 billion under “Programme Component” of Indradhanush Gas Grid Limited (IGGL), Rs 2.75 billion under “Numaligarh Refinery Expansion Project” and Rs 1.68 billion under “Autonomous Bodies”.
