In a notable development, Bharat Petroleum Corporation LImited (BPCL) has signed tripartite agreement with Bilaspur Municipal Corporation and Chhattisgarh Biofuel Development Authority (CBDA) for the development of compressed biogas (CBG) plant in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh under the CBG-CGD Synchronisation Scheme.
The plant would be developed on 10 acres of land in Kachhar with the capacity to process 150 tonnes per day (tpd) municipal solid waste to produce 5-10 tpd biogas. Besides, BPCL is likely to invest about Rs 1 billion in setting up the project.
