In a major development, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has commissioned the first pilot storage facility of liquified compressed natural gas (L-CNG) in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. The storage facility has been commissioned at BPCL’s outlet at Shendra in Aurangabad.

The newly commissioned facility will be used to receive and stock liquefied natural gas (LNG). The stored LNG will then be converted into CNG for supplies to vehicles and piped natural gas for domestic and industrial consumers in and around the industrial township.
