The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) has planned to set up bio-CNG plant at Nashik, Maharashtra under the Swachh Bharat Mission – Urban 2.0.
The Ministry had signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Engineers India Limited (EIL) to provide transaction advisory services for the same on February 1, 2023.
The work will be carried out under Swachh Bharat Mission-Urban 2.0 as a part of furthering the ‘Green Growth’agenda. The project will involve setting up of bio-methanation plant that will produce compressed natural gas (CNG) that will be 15 per cent cheaper.
