Bhopal City Link Limited (BCLL) has finalised the process of running 300 compressed natural gas (CNG) buses in the city by March 2022 to make the public transportation system more eco-friendly. BCLL is a wholly owned subsidiary of Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) and runs around 500 diesel buses in the city.

The low emission, CNG run buses are expected to be delivered 280-days from the contract coming into effect. Initially, low load carrying vehicles of the BMC would run on CNG and eventually BCLL would purchase midibuses that would be powered by CNG.
