Bengal Gas Company Limited (BGCL), a joint venture of GAIL (India) Limited and Greater Calcutta Gas Supply Corporation, is planning to commence supply of 15piped natural gas (PNG) at Hooghly in West Bengal by February 2026.
The supply is likely to begin after the firm commissions its 20 km pipeline project from Rajarambai near Mogra to Swetpur More. Pipeline laying works are also under progress with 58 km in Chandannagar and 32 km in Bansberia already laid.
