Bengal Gas Company Limited (BGCL), a joint venture between GAIL (India) Limited and the Greater Calcutta Gas Supply Corporation, has commenced the supply of piped natural gas (PNG) in the Kalyani region of the Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA) area.
Additionally, it is likely to commence supply in Chandernagore, Debanandapur and Gayeshpur by February 2026. Pipeline work for the same is under progress.
