In a notable development, Adani Total Gas Limited has commissioned its hydrogen blending system and in-situ hydrogen generation unit at Adani Shantigram in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
It has begun blending 2.2-2.3 per cent green hydrogen in piped natural gas (PNG) supplies. The facility would supply hydrogen-blended natural gas to about 4,000 domestic and commercial establishments.
ATGL has been authorised to lay CGD infrastructure to supply PNG to industrial, commercial and domestic customers and CNG to the transport sector in 34 geographic areas (GA) solely and another 19 GAs have been allotted to Indian Oil Adani Gas Private Limited (IOAGPL), a joint venture company of Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) and ATGL, having 50 per cent stake each.
