AG&P Pratham is planning to invest Rs 4 billion in the coming five years to build gas distribution infrastructure by setting up liquefied compressed natural gas (LCNG) plants in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh. By investing, the company aims to create more than 1,000 employment opportunities in Anantapur and bridge the demand- supply gap for natural gas in the area. The LCNG plant construction would be beneficial for reducing fuel bill by 50 per cent and saving cooking household fuel by 20 per cent and provide access to natural gas to accelerate industrialisation, create sustainable environment and reduce pollution. In addition, the company is also laying gas pipeline infrastructure in four districts of Andhra Pradesh to bring natural gas to domestic consumers and to compressed natural gas stations for enhancement of the transport sector.
