Adani Gas Limited, the city gas distribution (CGD) firm of Adani Group, will change its name to Adani Total Gas to reflect the French energy giant Total’s stake in the firm. The board of Adani Group approved the name change on November 3, 2020. The development comes after the French giant bought stake in Adani Gas, making the latter a joint venture company of Adani Group and Total Group with 37.40 per cent stake by each promoter. The remaining 25.20 per cent stake in the company is with the public shareholders.

Meanwhile, Adani Gas has proposed to continue with the business of biofuel, biogas, biomass, liquid to compressed natural gas, hydrogen compressed natural gas, electric vehicles, manufacturing of various equipment, and provision of value-added services related to CGD sector, among others.

Besides, the development of Chandigarh, Allahabad, Ernakulam, Daman, Panipat, Dharwad, and Udhamsingh Nagar gas distribution has been awarded to the consortium of Adani Gas and Indian Oil Corporation Limited.
