Indradhanush Gas Grid Limited (IGGL) has achieved a physical progress of 85.35 per cent on the North-East Natural Gas Pipeline Grid Project.
During the year,, IGGL has completed Brahmaputra Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) river crossing of the Brahmaputra spanning from Baihata to Bishwanath.
The North-East natural gas pipeline grid involves development, Operation and Maintenance (O&M) of a natural gas pipeline connecting eight states viz. Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura at an investment of Rs 100 billion. It is being implemented by IGGL, a joint venture (JV) company of Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC), GAIL (India) Limited, Oil India Limited (OIL) and Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL).
