Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) has invited bids for development of city gas distribution (CGD) networks in seven geographical areas (GA) under Round 12 of CGD bidding on October 13, 2023. The last date for bid submission is January 11, 2024.

Anjaw, Changlang, Dibang Valley, East Kameng, East Siang, Kamle, KraDaadi, Kurung Kumey, Lepa Rada, Lohit, Longding, Lower Dibang Valley, Lower Siang, Lower Subansiri, Namsai, PakkeKessang, Papum Pare, Shi Yomi, Siang, Tawang, Tirap, Upper Siang, Upper Subansiri, West Kameng and West Siang districts in Arunachal Pradesh
East Garo Hills, North Garo Hills, South Garo Hills, West Garo Hills, South West Garo Hills, East Khasi Hills, West Jaintia Hills, East Jaintia Hills, South West Khasi Hills, West Khasi Hills, Eastern West Khasi Hills and Ri Bhoi districts in Meghalaya
Anantnag, Bandipore, Baramulla, Budgam, Doda, Ganderbal, Kishtwar, Kulgam, Kupwara, Poonch, Pulwama, Rajouri, Ramban, Shopian and Srinagar districts in Jammu & Kashmir

Currently, there are 300 GAs authorised by PNGRB covering around 88 per cent of the country’s geographical area and 98 per cent of its population. PNGRB has also authorised construction of around 32,203 kms of natural gas trunk pipelines in the country out of which around 22,191 kms of pipeline are operational.
