KIS, Paras Dairy signs agreement to set up 10 BioCNG plants by 2029

KIS Group and Paras Dairy have signed an agreement to set up 10 Bio Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) plants by 2029 with an investment of Rs 10 billion. The plants are likely to be set up in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and other states.

The first facility is expected to commence operations between January and March 2027. 

KIS is  to provide technology, undertake construction and operate the plant and Paras Dairy to support feedstock sourcing, land acquisition and regulatory approvals.

Each facility is likely to process 6,5000 and 80,000 metric tonnes of organic waste per annum which includes dairy waste, cattle manure, napier grass and agricultural residue.

Each plant is expected to produce 10 metric tonnes of BioCNG and 8 to 10 metric tonnes of natural gas per day, while generating 40,000 to 50,000 carbon credits annually.
