Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) has achieved a physical progress of about 90 percent on the Gurdaspur-Jammu Natural Gas Pipeline Project.
It is expected to be completed by July 2026. Work in Kathua and Samba districts is nearly complete, while work in Jammu is expected to begin shortly. The project is being implemented at an estimated cost of Rs 2.37 billion in Jammu and Kashmir.
The project involves laying, building, operating or expanding a 12”, 152 km long natural gas pipeline from Gurdaspur (Punjab) to Jammu through Pathankot, Kathua and Samba having system capacity of 3.10 million standard cubic meters a day (mmscmd) with extra capacity of 0.775 mmscmd.
