Rajarambati–Haldia Gas Pipeline and Dhamra–Haldia Gas Pipeline stretch under the Jagdishpur-Haldia-Bokaro-Dhamra Natural Gas Pipeline Project are expected to be completed by July 2026 and gas transportation is likely to commence by September 2026.
The project, being implemented by GAIL, involves construction of a 3,306 km long pipeline from Jagdishpur in Uttar Pradesh to Haldia along with 240 km section from Dhamra to Hadia in West Bengal at an investment of Rs 129.4 billion. The pipeline extends through Hazira- Bijaipur- Jagdishpur pipeline. Phase I has a capacity of 16 million metric standard cubic metre per day (mmscmd) which will be further augmented to 32 mmscmd in Phase II.
